The POS hospital here is the opposite. They want to stroke everyday in the bed as they can.............I will never go to it again...... They are the reason things and prices are what they are in this scam medical bullshit...................I hate this whole thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The longer I can stay, the better. Hospitals TRY to discharge patients early. That's why a lot of people who should be alive today are dead.

A couple of folks have already said "Six days in the norm, but you're young so you might only need four." Heh. I'm not playing that game. My wife and I will plan some reasons why we are NOT ready for me to go home. The best ones are that the house is not yet safe enough for me, and that my wife is uncomfortable with her ability to care for me. Hospitals cannot discharge a patient if the caregiver refuses to sign off on it.

OCU didn't know this when he had his minimally invasive transcatheter valve replacement and it nearly killed him. Patients and their advocates need to know how to fight early discharge ... and it's not easy.
