I was just referring to firefox, When I uninstalled it said there are ares it couldn't delete. I had to go find them. I know there's all kinda crap on them when we buy them, especially smart phones. I shut off all kinds of stuff. Just about every app that comes with the new smart phones has your location checked.

Re: "I got rid of firefox over a year ago, when the last update i did , it took over my computer . took forever to clean everything off my pooter........"
The task of keeping a Windows computer clean is not that simple.

When you buy your computer, Dell, HP and the other manufacturers have ALREADY installed it with bloatware-downloaders. You take it home, it runs nice and fast, but over the next few months it rapidly slows down. If it's on the internet, there's no avoiding this. You bought it already infected.

There IS a solution.

Install linux (I can find you the specific variant if you're interested) and buy a copy of Windows straight from Microsoft. Then configure linux to create a virtual Windows box every time it boots. You can do it so that your specific software will also be part of the virtual machine, and so that your data will NOT be part of it. (You want your data to be able to change; you don't want your software to be able to change.) When your system comes up, it will give you a fresh Windows and software copy every time it starts... practically impossible to infect or corrupt.

Do it right, and you'll never suffer from bloatware or from a virus. Microsoft updates will not be able to touch you.

This is how computers SHOULD operate... but, of course, it's not in keeping with Microsoft's wishes.
