THat bed will work for him bro. How old is your pops? Im sure you told us once but......We had a lady , new to me for dinner she is 98 What a pleasure talking with. SMart as a whip.... Hope your dad recovers fast !!

My friend asked her how she did it to 98, he is 86, and she said I was born and lived in N Dak, You had to be tough and be a survivor. Makes sense. I told her I was born in S dak and grew up in some pretty nasty times there as well, She understood. Great lady...

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

I received a phone call around 7:00 a.m. from the nursing facility where my father is at. He had a large split in the back of his head froma fall moments earlier.

I left my wife and told her she was on her own for prepping the dinner.
Fortunately, I returned home by 1:00 p.m. from the emergency room with my father having received about ten staples in back of his head to close up the large deep and wide cut he had gotten...

This day simply did not go well or as planned becuase I always assit in all the food prep and cooking on Thanksgiving morning. Now I suddenly cannot and it really just threw this whole day off...

My father is fine. Sore. Batterred. But otherwise okay.

He is becoming a danger to himself as he cannot remember that he cannot walk by himself as he has no balance nor any leg strength... A bad combination... And yet, here for the third time in four months he has done the same thing. Tried to get out of bed by himself and walk only to fall and bang his head against the metal rail of the bed frame...

I now need to consider a hospital bed that can lower to the ground after he is in bed for night so he won;t fall down trying to get out anymore.... MAybe I will see about renting one....

What a day..... Hope yours was much better....
