Just returned from delivering load #4 to the barn. Snow and rain limit the number of days where it's possible to do that. Can't go if it's raining or snowing; can't go if there's snow or ice on either driveway. Today's high was 39° with 17mph winds, but it was one of the better opportunities.

We loaded the flatbed and headed out around 3:30. I knew it would get dark soon, but that shouldn't have been a problem since I'd set up fluorescent lighting inside. All I had to do was run an extension cord to the exterior power near the transformer. Unfortunately, I found that the electrician has disabled the exterior power. By the time we finished, it was pitch black inside and we were pretty much putting the boxes away by feel.

The best laid plans of mice and men...
