Of course, a tent is cheaper still. That doesn't mean I'd want to live in it.

I don't mean to be flippant, but there's more to life than just low bills. The trailer lifestyle might be right for you, but I've lived in a small trailer, and if I'd been an adult I'd have thought that it sucked. No space, no bathtub (in our case, no shower or toilet either), mildew and mold issues from breath that freezes to the walls at night, no privacy (unless you're living by yourself), no quiet (unless you're living by yourself), no kitchen, no room for visitors, no garage, poor insulation. The list of shortcomings goes on and on.
