De

If the earlobe crease goes away, I recommend as a memorial tha you immediately go with Mrs. De and have yer earlobe pierced and get you a m=commerorative pair of earings to wear.
Please post pictures afterward.. You cold have greatlooking earlobes again thatare now decorated.

Seeing as we are fast approaching Christmas, I would say something festive would be in order. Maybe some miniature christmas tree ear rings or some that look like a gold wrapped present perhas, or a wreath?

That is interesting about the correlation. nevertheless, you might enhance yer handsome appearance evenmore with a new ear ring to go along with yer new Lobe and new valve.... Just thinking of ya there pal....

I just woke up to use the john and was surprised that my hands weren't numb. I've gotten used to them going numb if they're near my head when I sleep...

The beta blocker is obviously making a difference. The improvement also means that I really do have a heart that's on its last legs (in case what the doctors have been telling me isn't convincing enough). I've been telling folks that my heart, though bad, hasn't been causing me any problems, but now I'm learning that it most definitely is. I just didn't know that the heart was doing these things to me. After surgery, it'll be great to not have some other annoyances anymore. Maybe the ear ringing will go away. And maybe the persistent dryness I've had for years (lips, nose, eyes, mouth. Sometimes even the roots of my teeth.) - but the dryness may be due to kidney function, not heart function.

There's one more thing that might go away and this one will probably surprise you. I've got a diagonal crease in my left earlobe. It formed suddenly about five years ago. I'm reading that there definitely IS a correlation between earlobe creases and heart disease. Have any of you ever heard of such a thing? I hadn't. The correlation doesn't mean that *my* crease is necessarily caused by my heart, but it might be. I also read of a person who had a valve replaced, and her earlobe crease went away... like, the very next day. I'm going to see if that happens with mine. If it does, then earlobe creases are indicators of heart disease that doctors need to know about. Right now, I don't think that many do.

I took photos. Before and after shots of the same ear will tell the tale.
