Re: "For anyone who might not know this, like myself until I found it in settings, the web browser OPERA has its won VPN that you can enable and browse the internet with. This will keep you a lot more safe and prying "eyes" off you..."
It does, but there are some catches.

First, a VPN such as Protonmail is also free (in its most basic form). Protonmail has the advantage of not being tied to a browser. So ANY internet you might do is going to be protected. Opera's VPN will only safeguard the things you do in Opera. So, if your on-line banking requires the use of Chrome or Firefox, Opera's VPN isn't going to work. If you have Outlook or any other internet-enabled application on your computer, Opera's VPN isn't going to work. In both cases, though, Protonmail's would.

Second, I believe that VPNs work by sending your activity to a host that acts as an intermediary and changes your IP address. Consequently, if many others are using the host, it will create a bottleneck that you may not appreciate. This is definitely the case with Protonmail's free VPN. When I used the company's higher end VPN for a week, the experience was great. As soon as the free trial ended and I reverted to the free version, my streaming videos started crashing.

Finally, it's worth noting that some sites will detect that you are on a VPN (most likely if the host is in a foreign country) and will refuse service. This might not be an issue if you're using Opera's VPN.

For anyone who might not know this, like myself until I found it in settings, the web browser OPERA has its won VPN that you can enable and browse the internet with. This will keep you a lot more safe and prying "eyes" off you...

Just a feature I discovered yesterday while going through the settings after an upgrade.

FWIW,

micro... Thumbs Up Very Happy
