It pays to shop around. The Aquatic shower stall on the right is the one I first found at Home Depot. Now I've found the Durastall on the left as well. Same footprint and it's $130 less. I doubt the shower will be used very often. So long as it's well made (and, by that, I mean durable) and has a center drain (the ad doesn't say but it looks like it does), cheaper is better.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Work has been stalled but is finally progressing again. My missing electrician says he "may" show up next week to finish what he initially told me was a one week job. He told me that in August.

Months ago, I changed the bathroom design to include both a shower and hookups for a stackable washer/dryer. Both have to be extremely small in order to be squeezed in, but they're at least doable. 32" x 32" shower stalls are surprisingly difficult to find (all the Lowes stores within 2 hours are out of stock on them and won't get them in for more than a month), but today I found one at a Home Depot that's less than an hour away. It's $360. That's almost $200 less than Lowes was charging. So I think I'll be taking a little drive....

I won't be installing a washer/dryer. I want the bathroom to be ABLE to have a washer/dryer... just in case. That part of the barn is well insulated, has heat, has a bathroom, shower, and the ability to have a washer/dryer. It's only 500 square feet, but it's fully habitable (or will be once it has water). Maybe I'll let someone stay in it one day.

Insulation and the upstairs ceiling panels are being installed right now. As soon as they're in, I can start hanging fluorescent shop lights. I've got a bunch of used lights stored in our garage. They're leftovers from the basement of our Virginia rental house. The lights are bulky, so I'll be happy to finally get them to the barn.

And, finally, the builder told me that I can start hauling junk (my words, not his) to the barn's 1st floor right now, and to the 2nd floor next week. That's huge. I really wanted to get our house de-cluttered... at least a bit... before going under the knife. Now I can.

The angiogram is happening tomorrow. Maybe my doctors will prove to be as incompetent as ribit's and they'll find that there's not actually anything wrong. Fingers crossed.
