Yeah it is wild to think a mole could kill a hawk. Just looking at the scene it sure looks like that is what happened. I cant imagine it, but cant explain it any other way.......

Are you sure its a mole and not a ground hog or some other burrowing critter? Moles generally only eat grubs, and earthworms. They are not meat eaters. and not equipped to kill an eagle, hawk, or any other bird of prey much less any other sizeable animal. Moles are relatively small rodents.

I generally kill them by watching the ground moving, taking a shovel and going behind it and flipingit up onto the grond where I will simplyuyse the sharpened shovel blade and cut that sucker in hal or just beat it with the backside. I have killed well over 25 moles in this manner. None of them were any bigger than a small squirrel andm ost were maybe a twice the size of a field mouse..

SO, you do have a mystery there.....
