Are you sure its a mole and not a ground hog or some other burrowing critter? Moles generally only eat grubs, and earthworms. They are not meat eaters. and not equipped to kill an eagle, hawk, or any other bird of prey much less any other sizeable animal. Moles are relatively small rodents.

I generally kill them by watching the ground moving, taking a shovel and going behind it and flipingit up onto the grond where I will simplyuyse the sharpened shovel blade and cut that sucker in hal or just beat it with the backside. I have killed well over 25 moles in this manner. None of them were any bigger than a small squirrel andm ost were maybe a twice the size of a field mouse..

SO, you do have a mystery there.....

started moving the dirt and there was something under the dirt, It was a pair of golden hawk wings!!!! They both were equal distance down the hole. WTH DO moles eat meat?? And both down the hole like that looks like the attack mole grabbed him when he was trying to get the mole. It was a fresh kill. Beautiful golden wings......
