My brother was bitten, once, when he was, maybe 15. The story I heard was,”we were driving on a dirt road when we saw a pigmy rattler in the street and it bit [my brother].” I have always felt like a part of the story was missing.

He is still alive and well, now, about 40 years after the incident.

...a friend of mine was fishing on a river bank with his daughter. (no he was not using her for bait) There was a snake on a log out in the river and she got really excited about it. He told her to find a rock and throw it at the snake. She did, a little water splashed up on the snake and it slid off the log into the water and swam away. The snake and her throwing the rock was the topic of all conversations the rest of the day. (they is even like that when they is tiny little buggers) Anyway, they got home and she told her mother the story. Mom asked, "What kind of snake was it?" The little girl paused for a moment and said, "It was a rattle headed copper moccasin!" That's what I have called any snake I did not know for sure what it wuz ever since.

...Georgia doesn't have anything like the quantity of rattlesnakes texas and a few of them rectangular states just north of ya.
