Hey De!

That's a great idea. Burn fuel oil. You will like the smell I am sure! lol!!!!!! Cheesy Grin (just teasing ya)

Actually, you don't need yer better half splitting up wood and bringing it inside either. She is going to need to bring you back to health AFTER the surgery and recovery time. You will be weak.

As far as snow removal goes, you get some pretty good snowfall amounts. So I would agree with you 100 percent.

HUNKER DOWN and do as little as possible.. THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

Re: "That is why you feel the pins and needles and made worse in your EXTREMITIES such as your hands ....and feet..."
I'm not getting pins and needles but something similar that I think might be inflammation. If you've ever sunburned the top of your hand, or your ankle, then you know the feeling. Other than that, what you said is accurate. It's probably caused by decreased blood flow to my extremities. I suspect it's also responsible for the ear ringing (tinnitus) and maybe other quirks I've acquired over twenty years.

At this point, I'd like to get whatever they're going to do to me over with. I don't like being limited in my behavior, and there are always things that NEED to be done. If we get snow, for instance, I'm not going to send my wife outside to clear it. I'll probably make some concessions on things like hauling in firewood, though. Bringing it in is a lot of work since we live on the second floor. We have the option of using oil this winter. The wood-burning stove can be put on a back burner (ar ar ar!) until my health improves. It doesn't make sense to risk death in order to save a few hundred dollars... and I gather that that is what I'd be doing.
