...it's the culture of the hood. Ya either go along with the culture or ya get called "uncle tom" If ya go to school every day and try to learn something to better yourself you get accused of "acting white". Then when ya become a failure it's because of racism.

Hi De! Just arrived at the hotel in Cleveland.
You raise an intriguing question. I wish I knew that answer but I believe it gets down to parenting in the home. I know my own kids do not "parent" the was we raised them.

But as you know parents MUST become teachers and examples to the young ones because that is how kids learn at home. By EYES and EARS.

I am not able to speak to how many children of black parents are actually taught right from wrong. My wife and I went out of our way to instill these values in our toddlers as well as raise them in Sunday school and Church and made sure they were in the Youth Group at Church and under the leadership of a youth Pastor and we were always there to assist the Pastor.

It is sad to see so many young black youths winding up on the bad side of events. Unfortunately it is something that I have no answers as to why....
