Gabbard calls Clinton attack a message to 'every veteran' that 'you're also a traitor to this country'

Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard continued hitting back at Hillary Clinton's insinuation that she is a "Russian asset" by claiming the 2016 Democratic nominee's message is an attack on all veterans.
Gabbard, who remains a major in the Hawaii Army National Guard, joined Fox News' Tucker Carlson Friday night to discuss the former secretary of state's interview from the day before, during which Clinton claimed Russia is "grooming" Gabbard "to be the third-party candidate" to spoil the 2020 election for the Democrats without calling the Hawaii congresswoman by name.
"Let me tell you what this is about," Gabbard told Carlson. "This is about Hillary Clinton sending a very strong message saying that because I am and have long been calling for an end to our country’s foreign policy of waging one regime change war after the next, the likes of which we've in Iraq and Libya and ongoing in Syria, and because I'm calling for an end to this new Cold War and nuclear arms race that I’m a Russian asset and a traitor to the nation I love.
"Not only are they saying that about me, they are basically sending this message out to every veteran in this country, every service member, every American, anyone watching at home fighting for peace and who was calling for an end to these regime change wars ... they are saying that you are also a Russian asset, that you are also a traitor to this country," she said. "That’s really what’s happening here."
Gabbard went on say that Clinton knows she "can't control me" and slammed her foreign policy stances.
"Thousands of my sisters and brothers in uniform were killed in Iraq, a war she championed. Their blood is on her hands," she said. "This is why she’s speaking out strongly and smearing my character and trying to undermine my campaign. Just as she is doing this to me, this is what will happen to anybody who is doing the same."
Gabbard added, "It's Hillary Clinton and her proxies, the warmongering foreign policy establishment, who are conducting this coordinated smear campaign. And now we know exactly why. It’s because I am standing up and speaking out strongly against the Hillary Clinton legacy, the warmongering legacy of waging these regime change wars, continuing to escalate these tensions between the United States, nuclear armed countries like Russia, China, this nuclear arms race bringing more profit to the military-industrial complex."
On Thursday, Clinton said during a podcast interview that Russia has "their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary" and suggested that Gabbard, who served in Iraq in 2004 and 2005 and was deployed to Kuwait from 2008 to 2009, is a "Russian asset."
Prior to her Fox News appearance, the Democratic representative from Hawaii responded to the allegation on Friday in a series of tweets labeling Clinton "the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long."
