LET THEM go... If one reads the entire article, they soon discover this corporation has the vast majority of its operations in the same Mexico manufacturing faciolity. Secondly, keeping this lone remianing operation in Missouri costs the company an extra 25 million dollars annualy.
That is not pocket change... SO those people were paid very well wages and benefits. This is nothing unusual.

Close the freaking plant DOWN. PUT them out of work. Apparently they must think they need to make as much money as the engineers who design the components, assembly, all the tooling for the automated processes, etc.
Time to tell the UAW to go pound salt, sand, or anything else. Screw them.
Send the freaking auto assembly jobs to MEXICO also..
THAT will catch the attention of the dipshits who make huge money in the UAW and give those radicals on the picket lines somnething to cry about....
I had the JOY of giving the the UAW the flying fickle finger of finall FATE some years ago when I had enough of the antics and BULL. CLosed the factory. Opened a NEW ONE a few counties away where they did not exist and people hjad a work ethic.
Immediately my productivity increased by three hundred percent as I always measured units per manhour for years.
Of course, the UAW worker mentality is that management is stupid and does not know what is going on.
ALL of a sudden now those same business interupting idiots wanted to talk about me staying and keeping the doors open. TOO LATE. You had that chance and opportunity three negotiations ago and did not believe me then.
This factory in Missour already has a large facility waiting to absorb these assembly jobs.
MOST brake systems are coming from Mexico to a car manufacturer already so this should be NO SURPRISE to anyone. In a tight competitive supplier of auto systems parts, this is likely the right move. Sorry. That is business reality 101.
