...sometimes it's the parents of the kid and sometimes it is the parents of the kids your kid is hanging out with. I can't begin to tell you the kinds of crap my "friends" tried to get me involved in and I would have probably gone along with except I didn't want to bring shame on my mother or piss off my father. I was scared to death of him. Found out later on in life that there was no reason to fear him other than for my own good and that sometimes "tough love" is the best kind.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

This doesn't hold true for EVERY situation, BUT ... for most kids gone bad, you don't usually have to look too hard to find that their parents have been AWOL.
