It means you couldn't see the potential of Amazon, Google, Ebay, Celgene, Facebook, Xicor, Gold and countless other enormous investment winners while they were still losing money but consequently cheap. If you LIKE 5% annual returns, then more power to you, but it seems to me that you're only a little ahead of the rate at which the dollar is losing its buying power. I've got a different strategy that has worked extremely well for many years and have done my best to share it... mostly running into resistance from you and others who are happy with safe 5 percent returns. I'd think that at some point you would notice that my calls have been right quite a few times, often to the tune of hundreds of percents.
