Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

Yikes.

It's morn and I can't help but notice that you didn't post your usual assortment of bizarre news stories last night. How are you doing today??

Good thing most of us have two lungs, eh? Still, I don't think you want to mess with either of 'em. Use a mask from now on, buddy.

I appreciate the post, though. I need to be more diligent about masks and eye-guards myself. A few weeks ago, I was mowing grass on the gravel driveway (it gets more than you'd think) and got hit in the forehead hard enough to bleed. I had no goggles on, so I was THAT close to losing an eye. We all have be more careful when it comes to safety. There are a lot of bad things out there that we can't control. It'd be a shame to get hurt or worse by one of the ones we can.

On a different but related note, have you given any thought to getting a roomie? As you get older (and I'm not saying you ARE), it gets increasingly important to have someone else around. I keep thinking of a fellow I met in Germany... I think he was a distant relative of my wife's. Well, a year or so later, he died by bleeding to death in his own house. He'd been on blood thinners and had cut himself shaving. The medical report said there was blood EVERYWHERE. He must have been bleeding for an hour or two. He was alone and never sought help. It's always sad when people go, but like that????

Anyway, I hope you're all right. And if you aren't, well, I hope it was quick and that you didn't kick the bucket while locked up with Sugar . . . . 'cuz a dog might love her master but has also gotta eat, you know???? Naughty
