It sounds like some here think these closures are not important, as long as THEIR 401k's keep rising.............

FREMONT — Atlas Industries Inc., a Sandusky County auto parts supplier that was founded during World War II and made a name producing crankshafts, on Friday permanently closed its manufacturing operations in Fremont and Tiffin.

About 100 workers in Fremont and another 60 in Tiffin in Seneca County are now without jobs. An automated switchboard said the business was closed for the day and company officials could not be reached for comment.

Beth Hannam, executive director of the Sandusky County Economic Development Corp., issued a statement indicating that her office was aware that the closure would occur Friday but that the company had been making attempts as late as a week ago to stave off the final decision. She said the move affects about 100 workers in the county.

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.
