I use #4 shot in a standard 2 1/2" shell. Makes a really ugly wound, doesn't kick too bad and won't wear your shoulder out if you have to fire it several times. 00 buck and 3" shells are only a necessity if you are hunting grizzly bears.

Thanks Beldin! The VAST majority of my self defense full size 9MM 15 round mags is 147 grain hollow points FMJ

Most of it is either Speer or or some other well known ammo maker. I use Remington 00 12 gauage 3 inch shells.Pump shotgun with 16 inch barrel. 5 in the tube and one in the gun.

That is within arms reach of me when I am in bed for the night as is the Pistol. Both are fully loaded.

I do not want to take time to have to load a weapon if I have to use it. Too late then.

My 65 pound puppy will now be a deterrent as well since he is now starting to fill out and he has large teeth.

PLayful but he is getting much larger than we thought he would.... Mrs. micro is not very happy about that...
