Yep, the Red River Shootout is always the big litmus test for the Longhorns and the Sooners, but allow me to remind you, micro ...

October 6, 2018: Texas 48 / Oklahoma 45
October 14, 2017: Oklahoma 29 / Texas 24
October 8, 2016: Oklahoma 45 / Texas 40
October 10, 2015: Texas 24 / Oklahoma 17
October 11, 2014: Oklahoma 31 / Texas 26
October 12, 2013: Texas 36 / Oklahoma 20

That 2013 victory was Mack Brown's last season as UT coach. We may have been rebuilding, BUT as you can see (50/50 split in the past six years), we don't play second fiddle to OU.

P.S. Mack Brown is a class act. I wish him well. Thanks be to God Almighty that Mack didn't return to coaching at Notre Dame ... then I'd have to wish him fire and brimstone.

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm. You are one very generaous futzball fan. Thumbs Up Cheesy Grin Laughing Laughing Laughing

Wjhile I am glad to see the University of Texas football program finally coming back to life, the firepower in that conference is in Norman Oklahoma. So this year should be a very exciting game to watch for a change.

That will be a measure of where the Longhorns are at in the rebuilding of their program. At least imo.. Seems like a decade or three ago Texas played Arkansas annually as well.

I seem to recall that from my youth. The reason it stands out is my friends who lived behind our house , their father was an Arkansas fan. We watched the game in the living room of their home. It was a good game back then.

Anyway, glad to see Texas returning to its roots.

DIDJA notice yer former coach Mack Brown returning as a football coach?
