...yep, one of the advantages to that kind of scheduling is that somebody other than the starters get some game experience which means that ya can rest your starters a little now and then and put in a backup. I have seen the crimson critters beat folks who were as good as their first team, but their second team couldn't keep up

I took a look at Alabama's schedule, this year, and they certainly are not trying to stretch themselves any!

1 - Duke Blue Devils
2 - New Mexico State Aggies
3 - South Carolina Gamecocks
4 - Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles
5 - Ole Miss Rebels
6 - Texas A&M Aggies
7 - Tennessee Volunteers
8 - Arkansas Razorbacks
9 - LSU Tigers
10 - Mississippi State Bulldogs
11 - Western Carolina Catamounts
12 - Auburn Tigers

Auburn and LSU might give 'em a run ... and Mississippi State and Texas A&M might keep 'em honest for a quarter or two ... but, the rest of 'em are gonna be like practice scrimmages against junior high school teams.

'Bama should be well-rested and relatively injury-free right before the SEC Championship game.
