sory to hear you are having panic attacks when you drive your car. Yours seem to be triggered by certain things like HEIGHTS of overpass bridges and perhaps heavy traffic.

I was similar to that after that truck almost killed me in 2014 and had panic attacks for a few years. I finally am over the fear of going over bridges and 18 wheel semi trucks.

I saw my doc about it. They call it ANXIETY but in severe form it is called PTSD and yes, I had all the classic symptoms and saw myself die in a fireball explosion at the bottome of the valley below the bridge.

seriously, it's great thatyou have started driving and learning where you are going so you can get to places.

IF you have persistent anxiety like this talk to your doc about it. They could precribe an anxiety medicine that will help and yes, they come in multiple strengths so do not get one that is too strong. Just enough to calm you down.

They work. And no, I did not want the stigma of being on an anxiety pill either but it helped get me through my condition. Just a thought.

So, I know how to get TO Arizona Charlie's. Yep, been there, done that AND I KNOW MY WAY.

After last week, I now know how to get home.

All is well in Vegas Land.

Except I was thinking about something, and I didn't merge to the right on my way there.

No problem, I still can get there if I focus.

UNTIL I SEE THIS GIGANTIC OVERPASS.

You know the kind. It is a couple of inches lower than the clouds. OHGOD!!

I cannot go over THAT.

It is one of those where if you are idiotic enough to look down, you see 4 or 5 other overpasses.

I pull over.

I have to back up - I mean I have to!

Oh, sure, I back up 6 inches at a time. Then I think my tranny (thx, nemo) is shot because I am not moving anymore.

Seems they had cement boulders on the left there, and then FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON there is steel or metal sticking out for about 4 or 5 inches, and it seemed like that six feet of steel was supposed to attach these cement boulders.

Well, nothing is wrong with the tranny (YET), but it was that metal sticking out that was SCRAPPING THE ENTIRE SIDE OF MY CAR.

The worst of it was spending an hour trying to cross my 3 lanes to get over to the right and cross THOSE four lanes. OMG.

How I didn't get killed, I don't know.

It was a nightmare.

So my car is now severely damaged, yanno, to match the other parts that are now wrecked.

The car was in perfect condition a year ago.

I finally get to AZ Charlie's and pull into a spot.

I now carry an oxygen tank with me because driving makes me so nervous.

I am just sitting there in my spot, sucking in the oxygen, minding my own business, when I hear tremendous beeping.

Sure, somebody wants my parking spot that I just found.

Idjits.

I figured, "hey, just keep beeping while I'm reloading."

I was too busy sucking (on the oxygen.)

I got inside and the waitress asked me if I would like a COCKtail.

I said I didn't want a GLASS of anything.

BUT, she could bring me a bottle of ANYTHING with a NIPPLE ON IT.

They're not going to have to take my license away.

I am going to kill my car. By accident, of course.

bummer....
