Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
I caught pike up off Drummond Island (near U.S./Canadian border), ribit. They got a nasty set o' teeth on 'em ... they're fun to catch, though! Some of the fishermen carried hammers in their boats to whack 'em with, so as to stun 'em before getting the hook out. There were even a few who carried .22 pistols to shoot 'em in the head. The meat is delicious and mild, but there are tons of little bones you have to sift through.
Mainly, fishermen up there are goin' after pike and walleye, but we managed to catch a couple of large-mouth bass in the weeds near the shore. It caused quite a stir when we got 'em back to the dock. We were told that there wasn't supposed to be ANY large-mouth bass in Lake Huron ... uh, well ... what did them damn Yankees think we were holdin' in our hands, then, eh?
