...they don't mind being slammed unless that are slammed into a jail cell for a couple of years.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

An investigation by the Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General released late Thursday morning revealed that former FBI Director James Comey violated department policies when he shared sensitive investigative material and memos related to his meetings with President Donald Trump with a friend — who subsequently turned the material over to the New York Times.

The department's internal watchdog "found no evidence that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the memos to members of the media" and, despite the conclusion that he ran afoul of the rules and set "a dangerous example" by not safeguarding sensitive information, declined to prosecute.

Reaction to the development began to quickly seep into the cable news cycle. Comey took to Twitter immediately following the release to paint the lack of indictment as an exoneration of his conduct.

"I don’t need a public apology from those who defamed me, but a quick message with a “sorry we lied about you” would be nice," he wrote. "And to all those who’ve spent two years talking about me 'going to jail' or being a 'liar and a leaker'—ask yourselves why you still trust people who gave you bad info for so long, including the president."

Still, not many appeared to be swayed by Comey's attempt to save face. Fox News chief political anchor Bret Baier appeared on America's Newsroom and slammed the former FBI director for his reaction to the report, calling it "rich" and "not a good look" — noting that Comey portrayed himself "as this man of the law who follows the rules and is this pillar of fortitude."

On CNN, legal analyst Laura Coates said the conclusions were "poetic justice" for Comey's handling of the Hillary Clinton's email investigation, referred to the report "damning" and threw cold water on his claim of exoneration, saying she "wouldn’t be quite as smug." Columnist A.B. Stoddard added: "I don’t think that James Comey should feel great."

And, of course, the commander-in-chief himself weighed in on the matter, declaring, "he should be ashamed of himself!"

Oh, great, now we have a Department of Justice that we can't trust, either.

Well, I know I feel better!
