Parents Charged With Hate Crime for Allegedly Tying Up, Threatening Daughter's Teenage Boyfriend
A 17-year-old boy went to California's San Bruno police to report he had been hit, tied up and threatened by adults while visiting his girlfriend about 2:30 a.m., according to a statement from the department.
The suspects include the girl's mother, 46-year-old Haydee Arguello, and her stepfather, 46-year-old Wilfredo Amaya. The adults allegedly yelled racial slurs during the beating, causing the boy, who is African American, to fear his race was "a motivating factor in the attack," police said.

...let me see, ya finds a boy hiding in your 15 year old daughters bedroom at 3am, kick his ass and call him names and it's a hate crime. The local cops say that his "race" was the motivating factor. Ya know I think the same thing woulda happened if it had been the grand wizard of the kkk in there.
