IF the concept had worked out . . .
But all over the place there are 'truckers' willing to overload
their vehicles - damaging roads (and destroying this one) . . .
Occasionally roads do get things like dirt, leaves, etc. etc.
on them cutting back on the power available to generate . . .

Possibly in certain equatorial areas (like the Sahara desert)
IF the road can be built robust enough . . if things like
sand dunes can be kept off them . . But solar is not twenty
four seven reliable.

And we still need watts at night.

And, the power source must be economically feasible. A 'solar
road' that costs a Billion Bucks a kilometer is not.

I do like the idea of solar panels on roofs.
