Well, yeah - no kidding.

I cannot figure who in their right mind is going to buy these German bonds. You give them $10,000, and at the end of 30 years, they give you $9,500 back. Your only hope is that sometime ... hopefully in the near term ... the German interest rate goes even more negative and you sell the bond in the open market to some even bigger moron at a gain.
