I have no idea Babe.
But first thing I would do is to shut down everything
phone related. If possible pull the batteries out
and then power everything back up and see if that
fixes things.

(Like rebooting the computer.)

And if your phone system is like mine . . .
It might have an UPS (battery) to keep it alive
through power outages. In which case one would
have to turn off the power feeding it and
disconnect the battery.

Or call the phone company and explain the problem
and see what they can do. (From a neighbors
house if all else fails.)

I was leaving early this morning but the phone rang.

I did not recognize the number but picked it up anyway.

When I got home 45 minutes ago, my phone now says "out of range or no pwr at base."

Do you know anything about what ELSE to try, since I have been checking every single wire, and they're plugged in.

I even checked the cordless phone and the batteries are working.

Honey, I need a working phone. What else can I try?
