SWEEEEEEEETTTT!!!!!!!!!!

Is the compressor a two stage or single stage?

That is a nice high SEER rating. Is it a pure central Air unit or is it a Heat pump ????

I have a heat pump. One thing I was told was that the newer Freon charged systems require larger ducts because they push more air volume. Don't know how true that is because I left mine alone it has worked extrememly well over the past couple seasons.

Example: MY home is entirely electric everything. No gas.

In the dead of a bone chilling winter, with our electric water heater , washer and dryer, Stove, and of course HEATPUMP with a very large KW resistance coil for backup, the average electric bill for us was under $165 for a month.
This summer in blazing heat and humidity here we are spending about $95.00 for electric. Very efficient...

GOOD LUCK with your very cool project. Sounds really nice and I suspect you should take a little gratification of doing the work yourself and saving money. Always a plus!!! Thumbs Up Propeller

Best to you,

micro...

Decomposed,

Upon re-reading my initial post I realized my comment might be taken personal and I was raised to have respect for my elders :-) I also detest the PC hand holding culture that exists today - it indeed stifles open conversation.

Have a great day folks. My new HVAC system is getting closer and closer - hope to get the juice and controls connected today, complete the 20x20 intake and fire that bad boy up this week. ALL of my bids came in above $10K so I decided to grab a new bull by the horns and di it myself - including the electrician wiring the new closet and paying some HVAC pro's for a side job I will end up with a 19.5 SEER Samsung split for less than $5,500!

PEACE
