I cannot say I was a fan or admirer of reading the historical accounts of whathappened there either. I think some things done in war are simply crimes. There was no reason to burn Atlanta. Not imo when you have aleady eradicated the basic supplies that the enemy you are fighting against so they cannot use them against you.
