Re: "I think the Subaru will be fine with a newer Tranny with fewer miles on it."
I bet your brother in law's car is the exception, not the rule. And I'm sure Nemo's Subaru will be a fine car once he's done with it. But that isn't what I'm concerned about. My concern is that would-be buyers are likely to be scared of the mileage.

With what I know today, I would be comfortable with buying a car with 120,000 miles. But, unless I knew the seller, I wouldn't even consider buying one with 166,000. Too much chance that I'd take a turn and the steering wheel would fall off or . . . well . . . you get my point.

Nemo's got the car and will have it on the market shortly. As is usually the case, price is everything. My guess is that he will price it right and it will sell pretty fast. I definitely HOPE that's the case, and Nemo is very savvy about how to do that. It will be interesting, though, to hear about his experience with it. What is its blue book price?

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

You would love my brother in law's 2001 Lexus LS430

This car is amazing. SOLID and QUIET. LUXURIOUS interior and way ahead of its time. This car has over 300,000 miles on it and other than a timing belt change and brakes and occsional belt or hose, this has not had ANY issues at all and still has original exhaust pipes and muffler.

The interior is so quiet and super comfortable to ride in and I rode in back seat for a little trip we made togther with my sister and Tom as well as my wife.

This car was built to last and it does not disappoint...

I think the Subaru will be fine with a newer Tranny with fewer miles on it. It appears immaculate from the photos so it might have been well taken care of..

Just some thoughts...
