Re: "Other than that, we're good to go with this design."I spoke too soon. I noticed that the Master bedroom had four windows and thought that was ridiculous.
I'm actually a fan of giving rooms a certain amount of usable wall, and it's hard for a wall to be usable if it is chock-full of windows and doors. Also, windows reduce the warmth of a room.

So I just asked the architect to get rid of the standard window alongside the bay window and to then center the bay window on that wall. Like that, the room will have three windows - which is more than enough "view" for me.

I'm sure glad that these are drafts that he is sending us.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Our home plan is almost complete. The architect needs to remove the exterior door next to the garage. We don't want the basement to have an exit. He also needs to add a back deck. Inside, we've asked him to add a half-bath and closet to the basement. Other than that, we're good to go with this design.
