It turned out to be quite a piece of carp (as Kathy would say).

------

Yes, she would say that. Very good, nacl!

----------
The first time I tried to put it in 4WD the shifter came out - in my hand!

It could have been much more worser. It could have flown out of the window. I am capable of that.

.........OR.......it could have fallen on the floor and while you had your head on the floor looking for it, you ended up on a cement barrier. I am not only capable of that, but I have done it. omg

---------------

Over the next 5 years I replaced everything else under the hood

And to think I almost had a nervous breakdown over a blinker light. How were the lights?

-------------

I hate cars.

Works out rather well for me as I hate driving.

Glad you have had a good experience.

In 1995 I bought a new Chevy Blazer. It turned out to be quite a piece of carp (as Kathy would say). The first time I tried to put it in 4WD the shifter came out - in my hand! When it was 2 years old Chevy replaced the engine because they couldn’t fix the strange noise it was making. Over the next 5 years I replaced everything else under the hood (except the wiper motor as I recall). At 7 years and 72K miles I dumped it on a Toyota dealer and left with a Camry.

nacl

By the way, I did NOT have to rebuild the Camry piece-by-piece.
