In your comments to Zim you made this statement:

I am advocating for smaller government and you guys seem to love the damned IRS!!

I would like to explain that while you might think that, it is incorrect. Nobody here is in love with the IRS. We also, I, am particularly not in love with the tax burden rates combines in ALL forms of government, which include State, City, County, Township, municipality, whatever...

Sales taxes are onerous. I already pay plenty of sales taxes and everything I currently buy is at almost 7 percent.
Then we get the privilege of paying property taxes on our homes. Then we get taxed on our energy and cell phone bills.

What I would like is a much more narrowed and LOWERED federal income tax than what President Trump initiated and Lying Ryan partially did. Polotcal hacks just seem to have never quite embraced that if you want to se the middle and lower classes of income people surge and reignite the economy, lower their freaking taxes so they have something left all across the board.

States that TAX FOOD should all have firing squads for the politicians who voted for taxing people for purchasing food... As I said, politicians just cannot help themselves from helping themselves to everyone else's hard earned money...

The "fair tax" plan is not about taxation so much as it is about adding even more taxes and making things ever more expensive that we actually need and sometimes, we simply just want to buy.

If you think that "rate" is going to stay put, I got a few bridges over the Ohio River nearby for sale...

I want to KNOW what my tax rate is actuially going to be and I want it to be as small a percentage of my income as it can get......

It is harder to get politicians to goon record wanting to RAISE the tax rates when it is obvious.

That is all I want. Ribs and a few others pointed out the temptations of what can or could go wrong with that idea.

That is fine. It is fair discussion.

Sometimes total change is not necessary. Sometimes self control and restored SANITY for the good of the citizens should be the order of the day and the Trumpster has made a decent start with the simplified everyday tax plan.

I wish he could get support from the HOUSE next election to really lower those rates quite a bit more so those who do not make 100 grand a year in a household can actually afford to live and to SAVE moeny for retirement..

I feel for the younger generations..

Please do not think that we all are in love with the IRS. The IRS is only a vehicle that collects the incom taxes. It is the CONGRESS Critters that pass legislation with Presidential signature thatdetermines HOW big a percentage of YOUR hard work and money you wind up donating to a wasteful government who EARNS NOTHING by itself. They are awfully good at wasting OUR money though...

Hope you have a great weekend and please do not take ANYTHING said here personally. ALL of us are totally different personalities and see things from different perspctives. I am sure Zim did not intend to pick you apart. That's just Zim's way of analyzing things.. He's a good guy....

My best,

micro...

Zimbler you said Hydro_Gen - here should be a link to the patent office. Looks like there is a tutorial to help you navigate the murky waters. LMAO!!!! Zimbler you are a little over the tips of your skis sir and obviously either are ignoring the salient points or failed to comprehend my earlier post, message #33993 regarding the Invention Secrecy Act of 1951 especially the part that I bolded that said: At the end of fiscal year 2018, there were 5,792 secrecy orders in effect!! SO you do not think that there might be something hiding within the 5,792 patents they have told us are secret - not to mention the numerous other inventions that patents were NOT filed for?? If you answered in the affirmative then I have bridges for sale, and cheap. Also, I KNOW how to search the USPTO databases, as well as other US databases such as PACER, and have done so for decades as it has been personally very beneficial exploring potential investment opportunities. I have NEVER EVER stated that You seem to want the government to search the patents . . . the same government you
accuse of hiding the patents in the first place.
I have stated that we need a Manhattan Style effort to scour the Global patent databases. This does NOT have to be government funded or controlled - we DO NEED FULL access to said databases. I am advocating for smaller government and you guys seem to love the damned IRS!!

Zimbler you also said The Model-T had a tiny engine
driving a light weight vehicle. My mid sized pickup trucks got better mileage and weighed a lot more. (And went a LOT faster.)
How can you call a 480 POUND MOTOR a tiny engine when the Model T curb weight was 1200 pounds?? The engine representing 40% total vehicular weight is not what most would consider being tiny. A current smallest base F150 pickup truck weighs in at 4,100 pounds. Its engine does NOT weigh 40% of the curb weight AND the fuel economy is still only 22mpg.

Since you seem to be so knowledgeable and so quick in attempting to add edification to my posts, can you address this question I posted in message #33993? We went from the Wright Brothers biplane flying 59 seconds and 852 feet in 1903 to the SR 71 in 1964, a mere 61 years later and a massive leap in technology. WHY have we not accomplished the same with energy?? WHY??????

I look forward to the next chuckle or your reply - which ever comes first.

PEACE
