So, if there was a cost effective way to use waste heat off an engine to generate electricity . . . then why do all cars still have alternators on them? So MY point is ICEs are extremely inefficient (25%ish to a max of maybe 50%) and their wasted energy is MORE than just heat. There is a lot of energy 75% to 50% that could be harnessed, mechanically in conjunction with an undisclosed invention for example, and this kind of disruptive invention would devastate the almighty petro chokehold. The Model T car got 13 to 21 MPG. That was 110 years ago. We went from the Wight Brothers biplane flying 59 seconds and 852 feet in 1903 to the SR 71 in 1964, a mere 61 years later and a massive leap in technology. WHY have we not accomplished the same with energy?? WHY??????

What is MY basis for this? Simple. At the end of fiscal year 2018, there were 5,792 secrecy orders in effect. You also stated Good luck at finding them. Seriously, the world can benefit from any of these long-lost technologies we can find. And THAT is precisely WHY we should have a Manhattan Style search and FIND them!!! Or prove they do not exist.
