...how un-american that he leave wealth for his kids! He should leave any inheritance to The Clinton Foundation or to AOC or Bernie Sanders or any number of other "worthwhile" entities.

He dreamed his whole life of retiring one day and moving back to his beloved Michigan… where he would live the good life. Instead, he stayed with his job too long and discovered just before retirement that he and his wife are too enfeebled to pursue what they'd always wanted. It's pitiful.

It's a shame that his lifelong dream wasn't to give his boys a decent inheritance... because that dream will probably come true. His money will no doubt help THEM achieve their dreams one day. But he's out of luck.
