Coyotes are highly adaptable and get comfortable with their surroundings very quickly. There is a park across the street from the high school that is a few blocks away where they like to live, so I run into them from time to time when I am walking my dog. I carry, but I won't ever need to draw down on a coyote because my dog hates 'em - and he scares the sh!t out of 'em. Last time, we ran into a good sized male - probably 45 to 50 lbs. He took one look at my lunging, snarling 70 lb. dog and ran the other way ... I watched him saunter right down the sidewalk in front of the high school and meander through the crowds of kids just showing up for school. None of the kids reacted and the coyote didn't freak, either ... it just crossed the street and went into the park.

I'd shoot 'em, but if I get caught firing shots inside Dallas city limits, it won't end well for me.

Hear some noise once , thought it was on the TV, heard it again, went outside and they was right behind my place. They need the fear of god instilled BACK in them. Popped off a couple rounds in their direction, and it got real quiet. I have seen them running down our main road here. They are getting to comfortable being around people...........
