Heat Wave Persists in the West
Excessive heat will persist across the West, from the Desert Southwest to the Pacific Northwest, underneath a large ridge of high pressure. Heat warnings and/or advisories are in effect for many major metro areas; including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco.
