Hydro Gen > Warren Buffet pays LESS taxes than his secretary
Zim : I find that one very difficult to believe. Tell me Warren Buffet
pays taxes at a lower rate than his secretary - that I can easily
believe. (Let me see . . assume Mr. Buffet paid himself $2,000,000
and paid taxes at 20% . . his tax bill would be $400,000 . . .
Assuming he pays his secretary a generous $100,000 a year . . you do
the math.)
Hydro Gen > If we are all equal before the law, why should some people be allowed to pay less to sustain the government than others??"
Zim : We are not 'all equal' . . never have been, never will be.
Who uses more of the roads all taxpayers helped to pay for? The floor
sweep . . . or the CEO of a trucking company who's 'money makers' ride
all over the roads all over the country?
In the event of a 'hostile takeover' by a foreign invading army . ..
Who will lose more - Warren Buffet or his secretary? Shouldn't the
rich - with so much more to lose - pay proportionately more taxes?
Personally I'd like to see 'We The People' demand a return to a stricter
interpretation of the Constitution. Starting with the recognition that
a lot of things being funded at the federal level belong at the State
level.
In my opinion, things like welfare, urban development, medicare, etc. etc.
belong at the State level.
Because when the federal pays for those sorts of things, it works out
that the hard working folks are having their moneys stolen to reward
other places for their poor choices.
