They're just as bad as all the social media sites you mentioned... worse in some ways: They can track your movement. They can have their mikes turned on remotely. Their cameras too. Unlike social media, you can't be careful enough with your words and actions to stay out of trouble if you carry a smart phone.

Here is the only place I spend ANY time reading and occasionally adding a thought or two.

Yep, Snowden may be a traitor, but he makes a great point.
People as a rule have no idea that their every word is being recorded and will be used against them if the need ever arises..
