Check EBAY for laptop batteries. Gnerally you can get them pretty cheap. I have bought several there for my old Dell D630 Latitude. They work and around 20 bucks.

Okay, so you now have the right processor you wanted and it is not overclocked. With the 8 threads it runs due to Hyperthreading , and having all that Random access memory, this should scootp retty good. Congrats to othe proud new owner... I hope this works well for you sir!

Enjoy!!!!

Third time's the charm!

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4900MQ CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.89 GHz. Installed memory (RAM): 16.0GB. Window 10 Pro. No Pen or Touch Input is available for this Display (which is fine by me since I hate fingerprints on the display.)

I'm sure some of you have better laptops, but for what I paid, this looks like a great deal... as long as it has no defects. So far I don't see any - except that it arrived with almost no juice in the battery. That might not mean anything, or it might mean that I need to buy a new battery. Since this is an older system, needing a new battery wouldn't surprise me. Fortunately, BECAUSE it's an old system, a replacement probably won't be at all expensive. Maybe $30.

Time to start installing and configuring. Bye guys...
