Definitely. In this case, the guy took a Sawzall to the 8' x 8' base since it was too heavy and gave me two 4' x 8' pieces.

I'm not sure what the best way is to put 'em back together. I think I'm going to use a couple of 8 foot 2x4s to repair what he cut, then bolt those 2x4s to each other. The end product will be a little wider than the original but it should be strong.

Since I'm putting the shed on a slight hill, I'm going to partially bury a few cinder blocks and try to create a sturdy, level support for the base. When I'm all done, I'll need to make a ramp into the entrance... either out of dirt and gravel... cement... or wood. I'm leaning toward cement, but dirt and gravel would be the easier..
