When we were building our house, the ELECTRIC COMPANY ran the wire from the street to the side of our house.

It stayed there the entire time we owned.

When selling, the realtor said he wanted to deduct TEN GRAND, so the kid who was buying it could have the electric wire moved and completely redone.

It never happened because I immediately said, "SEE YA."

The kid almost lost the house on account of an arrogant realtor. He was a HAPPY W.HORE.

Pretty good progress has been made in the last week. I'll post slideshows like the one below every week or two, as appropriate.

The four last photos show the phone pole and the line that's been installed. My electrician still needs to get hold of a friend who can complete the hook up. I was a bit surprised that the phone company chose to run a LOOOOOONG wire down my driveway to a neighbor's pole instead of running one 50 feet or so through the trees to the nearest pole.

Update: My electrician says the hookup at the pole IS complete. He's installing the meter and circuit box. He thinks he'll be asking the utility company to energize the line on Tuesday or Wednesday.
