...if ya was ever woke up by people looking thru the stuff in your "yard sale" and you wasn't having a yard sale, you might be a redneck!

We had some fun buying other peoples' junk today. My wife and I headed out at 8:30 and spent four hours or so at yard and garage sales. There were a surprisingly large number of estate sales, too. I suspect a lot of older folks kick the bucket over the winter here. This was the first truly nice Saturday, so it's the first opportunity for children to sell off their parents' kibble. There were also four or five rummage sales funding churches and a library.

We came back with a van stuffed to the gills with "stuff." I'm happy to say that most of it is outdoor items, because we really don't have any more room indoors. The visible standout was a $5 Rubbermaid (clone) 4' deck box that should be perfect for holding most of the other outdoor stuff. It'll be the third one we have. The first houses the electric lawnmower bought last year (and which might not be needed this year since the grass in the dog's pen seems to be loath to return). The second box is a 6' tall wardrobe that is nearly unused since its front doors don't properly close.

We found a ton of garden things (many free) including many garden pots, several packages of "peat pots," two watering cans, a garden hose, an entire case of plastic food containers that are like mini-greenhouses of varied sizes, and both plastic and bamboo garden poles.

The best deal was probably a 2' "Jump Start" grow-light for $10. It's never been used. Amazon sells it for $64.95. See below.
