...cops these days appear to be a little gun crazy. These guys were driving and shooting thru their windshield. If ya did that when I was a cop ya would wind up paying for the windshield out of your own pocket. These cop shows on tv don't help either. Got them all acting like they have caught the worlds most wanted terrorist when all they got is some guy with a burned out tag lite. If ya get out of the car they want you to get back in. If you stay in the car they want to get you out. Then the sumbitches yell all the time and wave them guns around like they have lost their minds. Behavior like that gets the hackles on the back of my neck standing up. Americans don't react very well to being yelled and and threatened especially when there is no reason for it.

Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Re: "...there was a reason sheriff taylor only gave barney one bullet."
Long ago, when my family lived in Cambria California, the Air force station had a decent-sized boat its men could check out and use for recreational purposes. One day, someone took the boat out onto the open ocean and ran out of gas. The guy had to call for rescue and deal with the aftermath of his stupidity. It seems he'd forgotten to fill the tank.

My dad was the new base commander. He read the guy the riot act, of course. Then he put a SEALED gas can on the boat and posted orders that if that seal were ever broken, whoever did it would catch holy hell from him. Guess what? Nobody ever ran out of gas again.

My Dad once told me that his boss, a general who oversaw several similar stations, told him that he was constantly dealing with stupid, avoidable problems at the radar stations under his charge. "Except for yours," he said.

"Why is it that nothing ever goes wrong in Cambria?"

LOL. My dad ran a tight ship. He didn't let problems repeat and never passed them on to his boss. That was one of the secrets to his considerable success.
