HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I did something like that. I was trading FAS and FAZ 3x long an d short real estate. I was gonna buy FAZ the 3x short. I had my finger on the buy button, and fell asleep LOL I hit the buy button and OMG phone started ringing computer screen with warnings. MARGIN CALL!!!!!! I bought $270,000 worth of FAZ. THey called me and I said NO I didnt. They said let me check. When one signs up with these trading companies. YOU AGREE to let them monitor your every key stroke. I didn't read that in the agreement but they do. I said SELL SELL SELL> LOL They placed a market order and I made like $3000 as well in 15 minutes. When I placed my sleepy order everyone saw and they all jumped on the band wagon. 15 minutes after sold it corrected to the previous price LOL. Man it sure is easy to move markets if one has the money to do so. I had a margin account. I had $150,000 a day to play with.........

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

Re: "Those were the days."
One of my favorite stories involved the purchase of a memory stock... I forget which one... while I was at work. The stock was something like $270 per share and very volatile, so I was only buying 10 shares. I set a lowball price and began to place the order when my boss suddenly called me "NOW!" into his office for an emergency meeting. So I submitted the order and went in. It was a short meeting. Less than ten minutes. I got out and decided to check my order. It had executed. And I'd bought ONE THOUSAND SHARES. "Oh, F**K!!!" is what went through my mind. Then I checked the current price and the damned thing was more than three dollars UP. I placed a sell order and made more than $3,000 in less than 15 minutes.

Schwab was not pleased with me. They sent me a warning advising that if I bought shares for which I did not have funds again, and sold without ever depositing the funds, they would suspend me. LOL. I never made that mistake again.
