I know itis not the one my father used on me as a kid because it does nothave HOLES drilled thru it in many places to add stinging power. But it is shaped the same.... I remember it well....... Swore I would never use that on my children and I never did.
My gorls were soft hearted until the eldest was in high school. I could LOOK at the youngest and she would burst out in tears. The ironwill child required more ingenious methods of dealing with when she blatantly violated a directive her mother and I had given as a rule.
It all turned out well. My daughters are smarter than me, make more money than me, and include me and my beloved wife in their lives and plans. One way to know your kids still like you is that they will CALL you ion the phone regularly and often. Its a good, no, great feeling.... Still need us. WOO-Hoo !!
