I haven't had any near-death incidents in quite a while, and the ones I did have were all things that were narrowly averted, not things that happened but were somehow survived. (I was once flying back to Sacramento and as the plane was landing, it flew OVER a plane on the ground that was crossing our path maybe 100 feet below - though it seemed to me like even less. We abruptly pulled up and circled again before making a second attempt at landing. I don't know how that didn't make the news. So that's the sort of "close call" I've had. Didn't happen, but *almost*.) When I do have a close call where something actually happens, I'll post about it here and you're then free to make fun of it to your heart's content!
