No Sir.
Pearl Harbor - the surprise attack on, was December 7, 1941.

It wasn't until August 6, 1945 before we was able to nuke Hiroshima
and bring an end to the Japanese war in the Pacific.

And in between, April 18, 1942, we had the Doolittle raid.
Where land based B-25 bombers launched off aircraft carriers
for a daring retaliatory strike on the Japanese homeland.
(Didn't do much militarily . . . but American morale was sure
boosted. And, I'm pretty sure the Japanese had to expend more
'treasure' defending their home islands from U.S.)
